Section 6-4 Burial administrative fees; notice required.

Prior to the adoption of 2000 (6-4) on 03/13/2000, Section 6-4 read as follows.

     (a)    Burial fees in all city cemeteries shall be as follows:

     (1)    For burials requiring full-sized openings (adult):

         a.    Regular interment Monday through  Friday    $125.00

         b.    Regular interment Saturday, Sundays or holidays    175.00

         c.    Disinterment Monday through Friday    125.00

         d.    Reinterment Monday through  Friday    125.00

     (2)    For burials requiring less than full-sized openings  (child):

         a.    Regular interment Monday through  Friday    $ 75.00

         b.    Regular interment Saturday, Sundays or holidays    90.00

         c.    Disinterment Monday through Friday    75.00

         d.    Reinterment Monday through  Friday    75.00

     (b)    All pre-need cemetery services (excavation and preparation for installation of vault in advance of undetermined future regular interment date) are subject to the same fees as the regular  interment and will not be credited on such later fee, unless the funeral director chooses to do all  the work himself connected with the later interment, in which case there will be no charge at the later date.

     (c)    Disposal of ashes will result in no charge unless  city employees are required, for which a  fee will be charged of forty dollars ($40.00) per service Monday through Friday and fifty dollars  ($50.00) on Saturday, Sunday or holidays, except when a regular adult vault is used, whereupon a  fee will then be charged as for a regular interment.

     (d)    The superintendent of cemeteries must be given twenty-four (24) hours notice before the  hour of the funeral for the opening of a grave.

     (e)    For Sunday funerals, notice must be given before 4:30 p.m. on the preceding Friday. (Code  1958,   8-6; Ord. of 12-30-88(7),   I)
