Chapter 2 ADMINISTRATION*

Section 2-195 City matching appropriation.

The City, through its City Council, does hereby appropriate from the funds of the city  not specifically directed by law to be applied to other purposes, to pay into the Pension Fund hereby  created, the sum of money set forth in the following funding table which shall continue in effect  until changed by City Council action:

    Period beginning:        City  appropriation

    January 1, 1995:           3.75  percent of salary

    January 1, 1997:           4.5 percent of salary

    January 1, 1999:           3.0   percent of salary

    January 24, 2000:         4.25 percent of salary

    January 8, 2001:           4.5 percent of salary

    January 7, 2002:           6.0   percent of salary

    September 1, 2003:     7.5   percent of salary

    January 1, 2005:           10.5  percent of salary

   February 1, 2006         11.25 percent of salary
