Section 14-1 Purpose and policy.
(a) This chapter sets forth uniform requirements for use of sewers in the city and for both direct and indirect contributors into the wastewater collection and treatment system. (b) This chapter provides for the regulation of direct and indirect contributors to the municipal wastewater system, authorizes monitoring and enforcement activities, and provides for the setting of rates for the equitable distribution of costs resulting from the program established by this chapter. This chapter shall apply to the city and to persons outside the city who, by contract or agreement with the city, are users of the waste collection and treatment system. (Code 1958, 19-1)
