Buildings Inspections
The Building Department is responsible for the issuance of permits based on the current requirements of the building code as adopted by the City of Thomasville. We review all construction plans for compliance with the building codes and any city ordinance that may apply. We at the building Department have the duty and responsibility to the citizens of this city to make sure that any construction remodel or addition done to their property is safe and completed in accordance with requirements of the codes. We also make sure that all life, safety, & firs codes are adhered to. The state also charges us with the responsibility to see that all rules associated with the Americans with Disabilities Acts are followed in order to afford all citizens with equal access to business and housing. The building department office strives to provide the proper information and speedy process to give the customer the service they deserve.
