Planning Department
The City of Thomasville Planning Department is responsible for guiding and regulating the City’s long and short term development. This includes the comprehensive planning process which establishes recommendations to effectively guide residential and commercial development for the benefit of current and future residents. Included within the Comprehensive Plan is the Short Term Work Program which identifies specific projects the city should undertake to effectively implement the comprehensive plan. The planning department is currently completing several projects and studies in pursuit of implementing the comprehensive plan.
