ASSISTANT CITY ENGINEER
The City of Thomasville is looking for an Assistant City Engineer to assist with all aspects of the city’s civil engineering functions. This position assists City Engineer providing management and leadership for the Engineering Department. Independently applies extensive and diversified knowledge of principles and practices in broad areas of assignments and related fields while working closely with the City Engineer and other staff members in the design and construction management of a wide range of municipal projects. This position will be responsible for a major project and multiple projects of moderate scope with complex features.
Ideal candidates will have knowledge of Municipal, Public Works and Utility Engineering and construction standard techniques and procedures. Good communications and organizational skills a must. Candidate should be Licensed in the State of Georgia or able to obtain same within 6 months of hire. Candidate must have 6+ years of progressive experience and be a graduate from a four year accredited Engineering School.
